ILLICITO

The Shift Series

Wind and drag are your biggest competitors on race day, but we've managed to outsmart them. Winner of Triathlon America's "Most Innovative" Award, the Illicito takes QR's SHIFT Technology to a new level with the notable absence of the left-side seat stay. Simply put, at the most drag-heavy yaw angles in the wind tunnel, this bike records the lowest drag coefficient of any modern design. Period.

Overview

It's no surprise to us, but BikeRadar calls the Illicito's ability to 'not only hold a line, but stay fast, focused and predictable in a very wide range of wind angles' one thing: 'exceptionally impressive.' With the Illicito, we worked to extend the advantages of onboard SHIFT technology, as developed for the CD0.1 line, by eliminating the seat stay opposite the drive side. This allows an even cleaner exit for air off the front wheel. A favorite of QR pros, we encourage a test ride at your local certified QR dealer. We are certain that a quick spin will give you a clearindication of the aero feature advantages such as SHIFT and Leading Edge Absent.

The use of SHIFT Technology in the aerodynamic design of the Illicito enables concentrated airflow from the front wheel to be re-directed from the dirty, drag-producing side (drive side) of the bike to the clean side (non-drive side) of the bike. This shift moves 86% of the airflow away from the drag-producing drivetrain.
